An extra attack. Need help!

I gonna make a map. You select 1 hero and kill enemies.
BUT, 2 of the spells that the hero shall have is an extra attack.
like:
"Every 2 seconds you trow 1 stone at the closest enemy that damage 130"
and an other:
"every 1 second you trow spikes at the closest enemy that damage 70"
I cant make them right.
I need help how to make thoose 2 spells plz anwser if u can:D

by the way...if the hero is throwing stuff every 1 second...he wont have time to attack, unless the cooldown for 1 of his attacks <1 :O..

if that forum doesn't work u can try this..

open the world editor
load your map
click module at the top
select object editor
select the hero
scroll down untill u see combat - attack 2...
find "combat - attack 2 cooldown"
set it to 1 (this is how many times he attacks a second)
find "combat - attack 2 damage (base)
set it to 130 (the amount of damage it does)
find "combat - attack 2 projectile arc"
set it to 0.2 or 0.4
find "combat - attack 2 projectile art
under preset click unit - missiles
then under NONE change that to the thing u want him to throw (Assassin, Briand is a spear)
find "combat - attack 2 projectile speed"
change it to 800-1200 (pick a number inbetween those)
find "combat - attack 2 range
anything above 800 is pretty good (800 is the range of an archer)
find "combat - attack enabled"
make sure it says BOTH

that should make ur guy throw a spear every second... u can do the same thing for attack 1 if you want an other attack...but then he cant use his sword/bow or whatever

I guess he could do that...but then its a learn-able skill...i think he wants an attack that doesn't need to be learned

Phoenix Fire is a unit ability, it doesn't need to be learned.

:O Pheonix Fire wont let him do what he wants though..u cant change the projection art :(

Yes you can. Go to Art - Missile Art, and change to something else.

i tryed with Phoenix Fire but i cant choose Cooldown.
i changed the cooldown but nothing happen.
and the icon will not show whatever i do.:(

but that isent a spell!
that i mean is like an ability that shot 1 stone every 2 seconds not that i attack every 2 and 1 seconds.
i want to show u but i dont know how to imput maps in this site.

Can't you just pick every unit in range and have a dummy cast it?

i am not best on World Editor:(...
i cant do spells with dummy. i dont understand how to do a "dummy unit" spell
But if u dont wanna explain how to do i say tnx anyway mate:thup:

I made it from modifing Phonoeix Fire...if you want it ill post the proporties...

EDIT: I posted them on 2nd page...ur problem is fixed

To make a unit (not a hero) throw 1 spike every second do ths.

Open Object Editor
Select the Abilities Tab
Click File at the top
Click "Create new custom ability"
Name it and make it based on Phoenix Fire
Find Art - Icon normal on the right-hand side
Change it to none
Find Art - Missile Art
Change it to Assassin, Brigand
Find "Art - Missile Speed"
Change it to 600
Find "Data - Damage Per Second"
Change it to 0
Find "Data - Initial Damage"
Change it to 70
Find "Stats - Area of Effect"
Change it to 1000
Find "Stats - Cooldown"
Change it to 1
Find "Stats - Duration - Hero
Change it to 0.05 (if you dont do this it will light heroes on fire when it attacks them)
Find "Stats - Duration - Normal
Change it to 0.05 (again not doing this will light your enemys on fire)
Find "Text - Name"
Pick a name (I used 'Throw Spikes')
Find "Text - Order String - Activate"
Change it to raisedeadon (not doing this will make you need to click a button to use)
Find "Text - Tooltip - Normal"
Change it to Throw Spikes
Find "Text - Tooltip - Normal - Extended"
Type what you want the description of the ability to be.


This is how to make the spike throw as a ability for a unit (not a hero). If you like this I'll make 'Throw Stones' and post the proporties of that one too :D. I can also make this a hero skill with a quick edit but i dunno what u want :S... Good luck making the map

I DID fix Phoenix Fire BUT i cant choose Cooldown!!!

sorry but it dident work...
the dummy unit trowed some fire bolts, then he just stoped trow them.
and why should i have AOE upon death? i just want an extra attack...
but tnx any way :thup:
