Animated Gif's - E.g. showing of model animations - How?

As title suggests, how can I make mini vids just to show off a model animation & link it to sites.

- I assume download a program somewhere to take 'snapshots'?
- I assume theres' some form of site that allows you to upload them. Can good old photobucket handle them?

Or just google any other Screen recording program.
Then record your model animating.
Photoshop it (Crop it) etc.
And yes, Photobucket can handle animtaed GIFS
