As you may have noticed there are a couple of competitions going on, and I thought i'd add to that.

Before I move on you could also check out the Ability Contest and the Terraining Contest.

-Cinematic must actually be about something (not just lots of random stuff).

I am submitting this on behalf of Player_72985 - he doesn't come to this site unfortunately, but I asked him, and he gave me permission to submit this.

This is the 7th part in the highly-famed and -acredited Shipwrecked Series. It is, unfortunately, 15MB because of its epic size and scale, as well as the custom shit he added too :D

This 11 minute cinematic is the finest in cinemtatography and fully voiced from: SamuraiPanda, Warnicro and SamuraiPanda's girlfriend Linda. Special thanks to the Beta Testers who helped with Shipwrecked Part 7: [Death], MuldaV, Murcielago) , Nosam, ValIe & Zeal_ .

The basic story is this Captian known as Jacob has found an underwater city being attacked by Naga. Can he save them?

It is not protected, because Player felt that he should let other future cinematic makers learn from his map, as that is how he learned in the first place.

Genre: Adventure/Action

Download SW7 Here!

Edit: This has now been DQed for various reasons, but you can still download it and enjoy!

darn thats big... im gonna watch it right now..

[edit]

OMG!!!!
AWESOME!!!! Killfest can you tell me what they used to cyber-ized their voices?!?
it was so cool!!
omg im gonna show this to every1 that knows/plays warcraft...
He should send this to blizzard...
Blizzard itself can't do better..
I honor player, thegreatnoob, and the other people that helped make this cinematic..
I love lord of the ring for the battles.. but know it is in warcraft...
its so good in original version!!

I think we need some sort of a rule about making stuff only for the contest, just to prevent Killfest from throwing people from other places at us and having them win every one :P

damnit i guess im too late to ask to be judge now :(.

The cinematic was awesome, there is no hope for any of us :*(.

PS: Krakka, on my mac i have a program called Garageband, you can speak into it and record your voice and get it to change it in lots of ways, i can make my voice sound like one of those animals out of the 3 advert, where it says "3, welcome to our network!".

If i submitted a cinematic i hope it would win for humour :o.

You gotta be fast to ask :D Anyway, theres hope, maybe when I get around to watching it I might not like it o.o

Again, I suggest that cinematics have to be created just for the contest, just to give the rest of us a shot. If the guy who made that 15-MB one wants to do one for the contest, he's welcome to, of course.

I have garageband on my mac too.. the full version.. never knew you could do that!
Ill try it out..

GarageBand is the best. I clipped the music that I'm going to be using for my cinematic in it (had to cut out an intro to make it loop). You can do a lot more than that, of course.

hey sargon i have a question:

Whenever i save music in garageband, it saves as .band, when i try to save it as mp3 it says use .band or .mp3.band, how do i convert it to pure mp3?

~Jindo

If you choose "Export to iTunes" it'll export it to iTunes as an .aif file. Then, choose it in iTunes and choose "Convert selection to .mp3" from one of the drop-down menus.

~Jindo

You music is nothing compared to the infinite majesty of the Bubble Bobble music! :P

Yeah google does not filter those bots. I remember when Apex was doing Google ads I saw the same IPs in there as I was seeing here - google is totally tracking all those bots as traffic and most google traffic, at least ours, was all bots

oh wow, i bet i can post x links now and do the webp pics now giggity

Weekend went by too fast. Next weekend I am going to try to do a nature thing - buddy of mine lives by the Colorado river and has some kayaks and invited me to do some kayaking from a place he knows to get on the river.
  • Ghan Ghan:
    That sounds like an adventure.
  • The Helper The Helper:
400 users all online all looking at latest content
  • The Helper The Helper:
I wonder how all these bots that sit on the lastest content page get passed anubis or maybe they did not but they are just registering on whos online
  • The Helper The Helper:
showing up on whos online not registration
  • Ghan Ghan:
The first gate is stopping all the bots that don't execute javascript.
  • Ghan Ghan:
That's the main thing with Anubis - no Javascript, no site. Typically you can still get the site to load without Javascript.
  • The Helper The Helper:
I remember the whole javascript thing, question - how many real people disable that?
  • The Helper The Helper:
Hell I guess I could go back on the stats to know that - we probably capture that and we know the before and after
  • Ghan Ghan:
Real users can't really disable Javascript anymore these days.
  • Ghan Ghan:
The internet is broken without it.
  • Ghan Ghan:
    Bot readable, not human usable.
  • The Helper The Helper:
    got it
  • The Helper The Helper:
    Happy Thursday!
