Condition Error (Probably something stupid)

Okay, so I was wondering, I keep getting a syntax error, End Of Line on this

elseif maxpoints > LoadReal( ht, h, 1) == true

But I've used something like that before, I've also tried

elseif maxpoints > LoadReal( ht, h, 1)

As usually I don't need to do either for it to work.
Also note, maxpoints is the max amount of combo points, its just 9, and increases by one everytime. And the real is the amount of combo points.
