foolproof
apparently not
And by that you mean...? I'm not saying people will look at it, but they can if they feel like it and can't complain that they didn't have the opportunity because the code was unreadable.

~Gals~ did not get it, so it is obviously not foolproof, more of a joke then anything else

Rustproof means that metal cannot be rusted.
Foolproof.. maybe it means "safe for fools" ;)

> What is "foolproof"?

A failed concept.

No matter how safe and easy (i.e. foolproof) you make anything, the very Universe will do its very bestest to come up with a bigger idiot.

"Two things are infinite, the stupidity of man and the universe. Not completely sure about the last thing though."

Question of the Day:
Who said it?

I really dislike that quote of Einstein's. I think he is wrong about the size of the universe, too. The universe probably exists on a 4D geometry.

Consider one side of a square plane. If you walked past its edge, you fall off.

But what if the plane was curved, so that one edge met it's opposite? You would have a tube. If the two edges of the tube were then curved so that they met each other, you would have a torus. You could move infinitely in any direction on the 2D plane and never reach an edge, because it exists on a 3D geometry.

In a similar sense, the geometric shape of the universe may be spherical, but if it exists as a surface on its topological equivalent in 4D, then it would have no edge yet remain finite.

I don't think you should say that in this thread.
This thread is about the Spell Contest, so maybe you can bring the case to General Discussions ;)
