are you asking how to keep the stats in ratio but change them all? that's easy.

if you are asking how to create totally different stats and what is a ratio for those, there really isnt one.

i want to know how to change the amount of damage a unit deals

i dont understand the # of dice, # of sides on the dice and the last one

i want to know how you put them together like (dice+the other one)*(numer of sides) would be the ratio or something...

If you have number of die = 1 and number of faces = 2 it will add 1-2 damage, if you have lets say 2 die and 5 faces, it'll add 2-10 damage to your base attack

Stupid attachment doesn't allow just excel spreadsheets, I had to zip it. I attached an excel spreadsheet I made a long long time ago, you should be able to change the values and be just fine. There are so many values listed because you can have a large field of data and see just how the numbers effect eachother.

Its like in any common pen and paper roleplaying game.

Base damage: The minimum damaga a unit will do. (Before Primary stat is aplied)

Number of dice: How many dices you wanna roll.
(think of this as the X in the X-Y. This is like a minumum add to the damage, set it to 999, and the unit will do atelast 999-Y)

Number of Sides: How many sides the dices have.
(this is a number between the number of dice and the this value * dices).

i.e

Base: 8
Dice: 2
Side: 5

The rolls would be:
8 + 2(Lets say you roll 1 on both dices) - 10(You score a 5! on both dices)
The result will be 10-18 in dmg.
Before the Primary stat is aplied.

The primary stat can be changed in the
Gameplay constants.
The original value is 1 Stat = 1 Dmg.

So lets say this Hero has 10 in str, and that is his primary stat.
He'll not just do 10-18
but, 10-18+10 (20-28)

Get it?
Or am I explaining the wrong thing here :)=

also what if the primary stat was say agility and they had 25 agility would the damage then be 40-61?

Is it possible to do damage like that:

Base damage (12) -1
Dices 1 (takes the -1 away)
and then Sides (9)

=

12-21 damage?!

i dont understand why you have a -1.. I dont think you need it

i thin the damage would be 13-21 not 12-21... i could be right but whatever...
