but more than that.. ive been playing around with Orb of Slow & its Effect Ability>>is there anyway to hide the 'effect ability'

The only way to hide an icon is to use a disabled spell book. If you disable the actual ability, it won't be active for the player. The way the spell book works is that you hide "the menu" but not the actual abilities inside of it, making it inaccessable but still in effect.

No, sadly, even if you put an Orb of Slow ability into a disabled spell book, the icon for the "effect ability" will still show. There's no way around it. The closest you can get is by giving the "effect ability" a blank black icon.
