Doppelganger Spell

Actually I think I know the problem..
The item must be "Dropping on death" !!!!
I didn't check that..
Will check this now!
And if I remove the item, it must be before the units death...

You don't need to give an item to the dummy caster, give the dummy caster the ability Item Illusions and order the dummy caster to cast the said ability to the real caster. Since the ability Item Illusions has no orderstring, you need to use its orderid, all abilities have orderid's.

Trigger:
  • Item Illusions
    • Events
      • Unit - A unit Starts the effect of an ability
    • Conditions
      • (Ability being cast) Equal to Wind Walk
    • Actions
      • Unit - Create 1 Footman for Player 1 (Red) at (Position of (Triggering unit)) facing Default building facing degrees
      • Set dummy = (Last created unit)
      • Unit - Hide dummy
      • Unit - Add Item Illusions to dummy
      • -------- This custom script orders the dummy to cast the Item illusions ability choosing a target. --------
      • Custom script: call IssueTargetOrderById(udg_dummy,852274,GetTriggerUnit())
      • -------- This isn't relevant to the topic, just used it to make the unit explode on death. --------
      • Custom script: call SetUnitExploded(udg_dummy,true)
      • Unit - Add a 2.00 second Generic expiration timer to dummy

Please consider this solution as it is much simpler than what your doing right now. I already mentioned this, seems you didn't read what I wrote.

chobibo...
I read what you wrote and replied...
I tried to add an ability ID to it (acidbomb) and make dummy cast acidbomb on the buffed unit (because this skill is a buffing ability)..
I will test your trigger and give you feedback soon...
Sry if you felt ignored...

chobibo,

If I edit the ability (Item Illusions), will the orderstring ID be the same?
I don't think it's working with an Item Illu. based off ability...
Actually, it's not working even with Item Illu normal ability

Trigger:
  • Doppel Strike Copy
    • Events
      • Unit - A unit Is attacked
    • Conditions
      • ((Attacking unit) has buff Doppelganger ) Equal to True
      • DoppelBoolean Equal to False
    • Actions
      • Unit - Create 1 Dummy for (Owner of (Attacking unit)) at ((Position of (Attacking unit)) offset by (0.00, 0.00)) facing (Facing of (Attacking unit)) degrees
      • Set DoppelUnit = (Last created unit)
      • Unit - Add Item Illusions to DoppelUnit
      • Custom script: call IssueTargetOrderById(udg_DoppelUnit,852274,GetTriggerUnit())
      • Set DoppelBoolean = True
      • Wait 2.00 seconds
      • Unit - Kill DoppelUnit

It doesn't have mana cost, nor techtree requirements, because it's a Item Ability.
Maybe I have to make it a Non-Hero, Non-Item ability?

You don't need to make it a unit ability. The only modification it needs is the duration of the illusions. I'll post a test map just wait.

EDIT:
I now know why your trigger isn't working, it's because your making the dummy caster for the attacking unit, instead of the unit being attacked. The dummy caster owned by the attacker cannot cast the item illusions ability on enemy units. You have to edit the Item Illusions ability to be able to target enemy units.

[del]If you still need a testmap just tell me here, I'll be checking.[/del]

Added the map just in case.

But my point is, I don't want it to cast on enemy units, but on my own units..
Then again... Enemy units really sounds interesting....
Thanks for the idea..
But what must I change for it to cast on the ATTACKING unit? (the unit that is buffed with doppel. buff is the attacking unit)

Trigger:
  • Custom script: call IssueTargetOrderById(udg_DoppelUnit,852274,GetTriggerUnit())

change to:
Trigger:
  • Custom script: call IssueTargetOrderById(udg_DoppelUnit,852274,GetAttacker())

And does the order ID 852274 work with an abillity BASE OFF Item Illusions (that is, a custom ability) ?

Edit:
Nvm, it works..
Btw, where did you find the order ID ?

I used a trigger to detect whenever a unit is ordered to target a unit, printed out the order Id by using the debugmsg function.

In GUI it's the GAME TEXT MESSAGE something, I can't remember exactly but it's the one you use to display messages.

off-topic: what's with the "google it" shit, I never answered with something like that, I don't post anything if I don't know what the fuck the thing is about. I'm actually annoyed...

but yeah man you should come to Houston there is so much more opportunity here than San Antonio. Just look at all the homeless people on the Riverwalk and downtown there you cannot even walk down the street without getting mobbed them

I tried to open a food truck in Sandpoint a few years ago but the city said no, then like two years later they passed new laws to encourage it and gave them all fucking tax breaks and shit. And at that point I didn't have enough money to go buy one so I was way too late to the game once other cities realized they could just bring their existing truck there, or sell their brick and mortar.
  • Varine Varine:
I do like food trucks though, they're way more fun than restaurants and usually I also get some of that tip money there.
  • Varine Varine:
Restaurants are really hard if you don't have a back up source of income to fund them sometimes, in my experience most owners either got really really lucky, had existing money that allowed them to buy an already successful one, or they have family money to fall back on for loans. It's few and far between to see very inspiring success stories where the person actually got it through hard work and perseverance. I thought about opening one lots and I always just end up not thinking it'll work. I would much rather just find someone that has that money and go work for them
  • The Helper The Helper:
i am not talking about opening a brick and mortar I am talking about food trucks though I have seen some brick and mortar mexican places open up during covid that are doing good because there food is awesome!
  • The Helper The Helper:
Food trucks are killing out here because Bars cannot open unless they sell food and the governor ok'd the use of a food truck in front as serving food
  • The Helper The Helper:
    Just not enough food trucks
  • The Helper The Helper:
a buddy of mine just opened up a food truck and he is killing it but he is a great cook and has awesome food right in the middle of the pandemic too food trucks are immune to pandemic because they are take out in Texas you will always be able to get take out or delivery
  • The Helper The Helper:
He is in the different food facebook groups in houston and posts videos of him making his food
  • The Helper The Helper:

  • jonas jonas:
@Varine with the restaurants, there surely is a lot of luck and hard work but most restaurants fail because they suck. Flair isn't right, economics not well thought through, food is mediocre or sucks, location is bad, etc. If you're thinking about opening one, make sure you're looking at the stories of those that would be playing at your level, don't let your hopes be dragged down by all the subpar restaurants out there.
  • jonas jonas:
I'm a bit worried about the future of data science, there's an influx of incompetent people hired by incompetent managers, that can't last. But I'm sure smart data scientists will always be useful and hireable. Same as smart security people.

The CompTIA stuff is pretty much crap unfortunately. The places that ask for those low-level certs aren't likely places you want to work. For IT you really want a degree, but in the meantime you need to figure out some way to learn the skills. Cybersecurity is really hot right now so competition is fierce.
