firmware location

Hey people,

Normally i can almost find anything and everything on the web. Cept today i cannot find a firmware update i need for this dvd-rewriter.

It's an internal one used in a Toshiba notebook. I know panasonic produces them.

Drive in question is a Matshita DVD RAM UJ-850S (1.40)

I hope someone can help but i searched for an hour and found nothing.

From Sony, not Toshiba, so use at your own risk: firmware 1.61.

romek thanks tho this drive has 1.4 firmware wise.

from what i read and you also mentioned it .. use at your own risk .

turns out those drives are oem tailor made .

what works for a sony couldbe not working for a toshiba or an acer .
