Grammar Error
Are there any grammatical errors? I don't care about commas, dots, capital letters etc.

Which one is better
I don't know which one these 3 sounds better

Heard it before
Well.. Every time I write something, I'm always afraid that I've stolen something. It could be a quote I heard years back, and then rephrased it and thought that I came up with it. So I'm wondering, heard something really similar before?

1.
There are no tears that could bring a man back
But there are no death that could bring a man down

2.
There are no tears that could bring back a man
But there are no death that could bring down a man

3.
There are no tears that could bring back a man
But there are no death that could bring a man down

Edit:
I asked my teacher, but since I already have created a thread, why not be sure. One click and it's too late to change.

Any grammatical errors here? Also, do you get it? Do you get what I'm trying to say?

There are no death
^ death is not plural.. and doesnt sound right,
^ "There is no death" sounds better.

1 sounds good. just change the second line to:

There are no tears that could bring a man back
But there is no death that could bring a man down

If you ever stand between two roads
Choose the road you want to walk
Not where the signs tell you to go
it's good. and i get what you're saying..
but IMO, needs more epic/drama.

P.S. : I may not like to write...(especially for school).. but when i choose to, i have high standards.. lol.

Besides the grammar and all those issues, I think it depends on how you read it, or how you wish to tell what you're saying.

Like the first one, it's the same wording except the last word is switched between back/down, which to me would be good for telling like "this blah blah blah. However, that blah blah blah". Like emphasis on the back and down.

The second one seems more like epic story-telling to me.

I don't like the third for some reason.
So either the first or second.

There cannot be a subject, so look at your other subject, which would be tears, death, etc. If there is an S at the end, then the verb would have no S at the end.

I get what you are saying, its just really weird for some reason, the rhyme scheme isnt exactly the best. IMO.

There is nothing to discuss. You are asking a very simple question. The correct version is below. I will not accept any argument unless the opposition can cite a passage in a modern MLA style book.

There are no tears that can bring back a man
But there is no death that can bring a man down

---

a = tears are there
b = death is there

The word "could" is used as the past tense form of can.

---

If you ever stand between two paths
Choose the road you want to walk
Not where the signs tell you to go

This has been said many times in different ways. I think your expression is less effective than Thoreau's, but that's just my humble opinion. It could use some buffing up.
