How can i protect my map? +REP

Hey, how can i map block (Map protect) my map so no one else can access it on world edit.

I know these are some way, but i dont exactly know how to do them:

-Corrupting the header of the maps database.
-Deleting the GUI triggers from a map.
-Deleting the camera, sounds and region data for World Editor from a map.
-Hiding the maps script file inside the database.


Any help to map protecting is appreciated and +rep'd

Well, regardless, i rep'd again. lol.


but i still dont really understand how to protect it.
I cant find any of these to make them missing or alternate them.

war3map.wtg - triggers (GUI form, not used ingame)
war3map.w3c - camera
war3map.w3s - sounds
war3map.w3r - regions


where r they? D:

I don't know what your talking about.

If those links didn't help you I'd suggest doing a search for WELock. It's what I use and it's a very simple open and save as program. It makes the map smaller too!

Well, I opened and saved the stuff, except I dunno how to use it to lock the map. It gives me the program thing but it doesn't give me instructs on how to use it or block my map. For instance I dunno how to use vexirians map blocker.

Get Vexorian's Optimizer from Hiveworkshop tools. Not only it removes some leaks, but it also protects your map.

An ''easy to use'' protection is to import a file into your map (Anything, can be a blank file.) then press it and set the path to 'war3map.wtg'. Just make sure you create a copy of your map first. There's much better protections to use though, but this one is, as i said, easy to use.

Pharoh, i have Vexorians optimizer, but i dont understand how to use it, and i couldnt find i guide on it. searched for a while.

There are a lot of ways to pretect your map, i bet you could use the search function on thehelper.net or even google would be of help...

i did, nothing helpful, just link and downloads for vex opt, and other stuff.


But either way, i got it a protection on my map already, no more help needed.
