Loss of watery terrain on the map

Title says it all. I'm updating and improving spells/items/triggers (nothing done on the terrain), and at some point I look at the minimap - no damned watery terrain. On previous versions of my map (everyone has at least 1 backup map) the water is showing properly. On the newest one it just disappeared (I DIDN'T press "W", doh) and when I try to re-add it, it adjusts the cliff level to *current* -2...

Any suggestions?

Probably a dumb question, did you check in-game to see if it just doesnt display in your editor.

When you test it can you see the water in game?

You should remake the terrain, first use deep water then use raise function to make land
