Mic settings help

Well a friend of mine says when I'm speaking to him over vent that he hears himself echo if he is speaking at the same time as I. I think it might be the mic pickup settings but I can't remember how to change it. Any help is appreciated.

If you're using speakers (as opposed to headphones), then that is causing the echo.

Try lowering your Microphone volume in the Volume Controls.

Your friend has to swap from speakers to a headset, not you. Or just move/turn them, so the microphone doesn't pick up the soundwaves (or fewer of them).

All the guys I talk to have headsets. It's something to do with me. I'm not sure if it's the settings on ventrilo or what. Need some help on this issue as soon as possible.
