My BF1942 runs choppy

My computer specs: 512 RAM, 3.06GHz processor, GeForce 7300 GS 256mb
and I'm having problems (online and offline) with the game. It runs like crap and it's all so laggy I can't play (happens when there are a lot of people in my screen, or lots of images -tanks, terrain, even the sky makes my game lag-). Is there anything I can do to solve this?

I think you might not have enough RAM, let me see how much my crappy computer has....

EDIT: look on the specs for the game and see what system reqs in needs.

Nope, its not my RAM simply because I used to run BF1942 on a even crappier computer and did not lag (its specs were: 512 RAM, ATI Radeon 9250 128MB, 1.8GHz processor). Also, other games run just fine like Call of Duty 1 and 2, Warcraft 3, Rome: Total War and Heroes 5 (on my better computer).
