Can someone tell me what the preloading functions do and their limitations (for example, I doubt Preload and load EXEs (perhaps that was the security problem) or DLLs. Can it load a library of functions that can be used?)? Thanks, I just came across it when I decided, "I wonder how Blizzard decided to remove units in the way of starting units."

Below are rough definitions I have collected:
Preload - Used to preload specific files, normally models. This makes it so later during the game, there is no lag when the model is first used. Works with images and sounds as well.

PreloadStart
Preloader - Used to call a file that will execute the first function in the file (a JASS file).

This is usually used to preload special effect strings to avoid lag issues, the others I have no idea what they do but I haven't seen them in some script.
