Random X level creep

Is there a way to spawn a random X level creep, using the entire creep pool of warcraft 3 instead of only the tile set you are in.

For example right now this line will only produce level 2 creeps in the lodaeron summer tileset.

Try random level -1 creep unit type.

I know it works for items.. although i think it does.

-1 Will give me a random creep from the level range 0 to 10, but only from lordaeron tileset, and I really need a specified level because this is a hero ability, and as he levels the ability the level of creep should increase.

Ok this is easy... Just assign them to an array and a number for each, then have so mamny groups for each level and add which units you want. Then have it check for your level then say a random number between 1 and the numer of creeps in the array.

Good Idea, doing it now, btw is there a way to add the units in a loop or trigger, because manually adding all the level 2, 4, 6, and 8 creeps from the entire pool into unit-type arrays is going to take forever.

Personally, I just put down every single creep in the actual game manually (Placing units on the map, you know? Like terrain, but units), because it's easier than creating them through triggers. Then add them to groups using triggers. Then, you can use triggers to check the level of the unit.


And, don't forget to hide the units.
Unit - Hide Picked Unit

Sorry but it's the only way as I know. XD I don't think it's possible to add them all in an array at once. All I know of is the manual approach.

Too bad I now notice in the object editor under units, theres a section that says Editor - Tilesets... would of been about 1/10th the work to change all the units to use everytile set and then just use the built in spawn random creep action... :banghead: oh well can't complain now I suppose.
