Brownie Pie

Gooey Brownie Pie is rich and gooey chocolate goodness.

Ingredients:
  • 1 unbaked pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • Optional for topping: powdered sugar, whipped cream, or vanilla ice cream
  • Medium saucepan
  • 9 inch pie dish
Directions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C)
  • Place the pie crust in the pie dish and set aside
  • In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat
  • Remove from heat and stir in the sugar and cocoa powder until well combined
  • Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract
  • Stir in the flour and salt until just combined
  • Fold in the chocolate chips
  • Pour the brownie mixture into the prepared pie crust
  • Spread evenly with a spatula.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the center is set but still slightly gooey
  • Allow the pie to cool slightly before serving
  • Serve warm, topped with powdered sugar, whipped cream, or vanilla ice cream, if desired
