Reeses Peanut Butter Cup Pie
This recipe makes a Giant Reeses Peanut Butter Cup Pie that truly brings forth the fusion of chocolate and peanut butter flavors.
Ingredients:
For the Crust:
- 24 Oreo cookies, crushed
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- 1 1/4 cups powdered sugar
- 1 package (8 oz) whipped topping, thawed
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- Reeses Peanut Butter Cups, chopped for garnish
- Large bowl
- 9-inch pie pan
- Mix crushed Oreo cookies with melted butter and press into the bottom of a 9-inch pie pan
- Chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes
- In the large bowl, beat the cream cheese, peanut butter, and powdered sugar until smooth
- Fold in the whipped topping
- Spread the filling over the crust and chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours
- For the topping, heat the heavy cream until it just begins to simmer, then pour over the chocolate chips
- Let sit for 5 minutes then stir until smooth
- Pour the chocolate mixture over the pie and spread evenly
- Garnish with chopped Reese's Peanut Butter Cups
- Chill for an additional hour before serving
