Rect and regions????

Rect should be equivalent to Region. But honestly, I have no idea what "region" in JASS is...But for Region (in terms of GUI), it's Rect.

Correct. Rect is used in JASS. Rect = Region.

I believe a region in Jass consists of multiple Rects, a rect in Jass is equivalent to a region in GUI.

Region is interactive version of rect, it may contain multiple rects or multiple cells, or single rect\cell.

You may registed events to region.
