and yet people still die in the army - more $$ has been proven to reduce fatalities by enabling high-tech drones, better armor, etc. - how much money would you put on the life of a person? a lot? then stop complaining about $$ being spent on the army, and instead py your taxes - or perhaps your answer is not a lot, in which case why would anyone care about YOUR life?

Hmm Does Government pay taxes? If they can pay, sure they can be called freeloaders. But regardless of whether they pay tax or not. Wouldn't you try to help someone in need if it was a war? Would you think before your act, well, if they paid the tax or not eh?. Seriously, they should invest more in the country and for the citizen, then in the army for once or twice! Hmm then everyone would be pleased. No?

the government collects taxes and repays by serving it's citizens - similar to how a business doesn't pay customers, rather it provides them with goods or service (governments usually focus more on the service side than businesses, but the basic model is the same)
