I am fucking tired of the notion that Military service somehow carries with it an elevated sense of Patriotism.

The fact is, I never asked you to join the military, nor should I act with a sense of appreciation for your service.
I never asked Jesus Christ to die on the cross for my sins either. That is if one actually believes in such nonsense.
American security can just as easily be realized through domestic and domestic military operations.
And it can done without pointlessly killing innocent civilians.

Yeah, but it was the first one I thought of that would possibly do that sort of minimal damage. Because there wasn't really a terrible amount of damage done to the Pentagon, compared to what I've seen missiles do, and if it wasn't a plane then it would have to be something that wouldn't ruin something. I've never really seen a tomahawk or bothered with reading up on it, but I would see it doing a lot of damage (I only really know about what I use, which does not involve long distance missiles).

And you do bring up a really good point I never thought of before: most of our missiles are designed specifically for a purpose, and most of them that would be as big as the object in the video would probably do a lot more damage. Again, I don't deal with missiles, so Effane, you'll have to tell me if I'm wrong (no one ever really uses missiles to dust drop zones, that's what A10's are for) because you seem to be more into those than me.

And in response to your second paragraph about cameras: that's true, there's not really a reason for the Pentagon to have high speed cameras all around. There's a ton of security, yes, but how often does a fucking plane crash into a building? No one would be planning that, so why would they bother putting up cameras to be sure that a video would be shot?

Also, Varine, ignore Budsmoke, hes a closet anarchist and it doesn't matter to him that we are in Military service. In fact our service to our government is probably an abomination to him. We do defend his right to be a royal ass, but think about the others we also defended, 80% of america isnt that bad. They do need us in the future. It wasnt all in vain, yet... We still have a terrible president who is VERY dangerous to us. Its just a matter of time when people realize this, hopefully not before he subjugates us to the dictators of the middle east with more bowing and kneeling.

I don't know what you're doing, but I'm taking a few years off once my term is over. I've got a couple years inactive left, but I don't think I'll get called back anywhere. I wouldn't really mind, but I'm just afraid that Obama's going to place a ton of new restrictions onto us that make it harder to do our job (not being able to shoot a guy that's running at us with grenades until he pulled a pin got old really fast). He's so worried about fixing America's image that I could see something come up. I remember that being a big issue if there was any media coverage on our unit, not being able to do anything.

Edit: BTW, I picked Australia for my escape country. While it has some dumb laws they still like Americans.

I'm going to Russia. I used to live there when I was little, so I'm still in love with it just like I am America. So if big issues come up here where I run, I think I could manage to talk them into letting me defect. Kind of want to go back anyway, most of the family I've got that's still alive lives there.

So... what have you done for this country? From what I've seen of you, all you do is sit up high on an undeserved and self-appointed pedestal, pointing your finger in every direction and blaming us for all of your problems, and haven't contributed a fucking thing to this country you love to criticize.

And no one is asking you to live here. But you do and all you seem to do is bitch about what's wrong with it, blaming everyone for who wins elections that you are welcome to vote in (mainly thanks to men like Effane who, over and over, have defended that right beyond measure time and time again, regardless of whether or not you think these operations are keeping your worthless ass safe). Most people probably don't also ask for soldiers to die for them, but I can guarantee that 90% of them would do so without a second thought to it, to ensure your right to live this lifestyle that insults their family's existence.

And instead of buying billions of dollars in oil and supporting massive fuel cartels, I would rather drill in Alaska and off the coast to become self-dependent while we pursue those technologies because you're not going to change 300 million people whose lives revolve around oil over night, something that you radical, save the country and get rid of the military and raise taxes so that you can give me free stuff wouldn't understand because you're too busy hating people that disagree and preaching tolerance to understand how long it takes to convert.

And you have no concept of talking to someone that you just liberated in Afghanistan and have them ask if they could teach them some card games or something, because previously it was punishable by death to play such games, or to have some old man that spent a few weeks learning enough English to come thank you for everything you've done for him. Yeah, they've lived like that for a long time, but does that mean they want to? No, that means they don't know how else to live, and want to change but need time to adapt to the realization that they don't have to agree with their government without having the fear of having their finger with a wedding ring on it mailed back to their wife.

And I think I could get a large backing of people stating that they respect your will to live here, but don't support it, and want you to get the fuck out.

And maybe you should discard your stereotypes and assumptions about what the world is like before you open your fucking mouth, because generally they are so far off and so skewed that generally you just look like an idiot but are so bogged down with the idealism that you're right and hating everyone that disagrees that you probably can't understand that, and will instead do what you do best and ignore me because you disagree, then continue on preaching tolerance while being one of the most intolerant people I have ever seen.
