Spell Help

Could someone explain me somehow how to trigger a spell?
Because I got one;

Name: Lightning Shield
Target: Allies, self
Description: Gives units in an area of (200/240/280/320) the "Lightning Shield" Buff causes them to absorb damage and send it back with a (60/50/40/30%) loss of damage. Duration of the "Lightning Shield" should be arround (9/14/19/24) sec. and the Cooldown: (20/18/16/14)

I got many idea's for spells and somehow I manage to create them too but could anyone could give me somesort of quick tut (or link or whatever (with or without) this example) on how to do this?

Well, this is what's usually called a "Mass-Target-Spell"...

Those are some examples... But the concept is using dummies to cast the desired spell on units in the AoE range

btw told you some stuff on msn, but can't figure out what went wrong? maybe it is because the doodads but I don't know :S
