Lol, I just used the raise tool...I never used the lower tool.

Look, you can make it in 2 ways.

1. Raise whole map from shallow water and use lower to pop out water.
2. Use raise tool on shallow water to pop out ground.

They both leave the same effect.

I had some problems making the water in a map I already had done almost complete and wanted to add rivers like in your tut.

first I didn't get the water there.
I looked a bit around my WE and noticed the "Enforce Water Height Limits" in the Advanced tab.

Setting this one off allows you to make rivers. If it is on you won't get the water.

EDIT: Yup. now that I took a closer look at all the river tutorials there are

I did everything you suggested in the tutorial and it worked out. Awesome tutorial, it really adds a realistic feel to maps with rivers .

Water Tint

I wanted to test this out, I did everything the tut said to do, and I went to tint the water, but it didnt change colors, Now it looks ugly so I made a new map and the tint is still there. I can't get it back to normal! any tips?
