ThinkPad T500 opinions?

Hi,

I'm buying a new laptop for study,coding,image editing and wc3. I want to pay ~1000€

What do you think about this one?

Doesn't seem too bad, although i'd expect a bit more bang for your money. The information is very light on that website, no processor speed, no ram speed or classification (watch out for DDR2 now), and it gives you vista so i would take XP or 7 if it's possible now. Otherwise for your purposes especially for

image editing

you need a LOT of ram and a strong CPU. ^^

Overall i don't find it bad, just the lack of information makes me a bit dodgy to say it's all good ^^ (and i don't speak German ^^

Nice find, however, the ram is slow 667 ddr2 for today's standards, but in general it seems better than the first one.

I don't know, to me these laptops all sound extremely expensive, then again i'm just used to buying stationaries. Maybe a laptop is just expensive in general? I don't know. I feel like i could get twice that machine with a 1k$

Yes, mb the second is better, but it has a 18,.." display which is way to heavy, energy draining and unhandy.

Btw. the laptop I mentioned has XP
