Unit Invulnerable

When a unit enters a new form, (Metamorphosis, Chemical Rage), they become vulnerable if they were invulnerable in the first place.... How to cancel this? I don't want heroes during picking phase to become killed.

Is periodically setting everything in a region invulnerable safe?
And... is there a way to detect if a unit is invulnerable or not (Because I don't want a triggered spell to burn mana off invulnerable units!)

There is no IsUnitInvulnerable! Lol.

For the first question just make the trigger A unit casts metamorphosis and then make that unit invulnerable.
For the second question if u have triggered spell just make the basic spell target to vulnerable units

You could make the ability permanent:
Trigger:
  • Actions
    • Custom script: call UnitMakeAbilityPermanent(*Some_Unit*,true,'Avul')

why not just add the ability invulnerable (Neutral) to the unit which is metamorphed into inside the object editor?

e.g.
you open the preset for the demon hunter, and you give him the invulnerbility ability, afterwards you open the preset for the morphed unit and add the ability here as well. This way both units have the ability, and when the demon hunter transforms he will still have the ability

then you can remove the ablity afterwards with a trigger, say 5 seconds wait then pick every unit of type and remove the invulnerablity ability
