Ventrilo PTT Response lag

This just randomly started happening, I use PTT to que my mic to talk on ventrilo and now when I'm running WoW I have a 2 - 3 second delay before ventrilo actually registers that I'm holding down the button. I know it's not my mouse dieing because I've changed the button to a keyboard button and it still does it.

As soon as i close WoW it works 100% no delay. I haven't tried it in any other game, as none are installed on my laptop except WoW.

4gig Ram
Vista sp2 64-bit
2.2ghz dual core

I'm lookin at my physical memory usage and its just below 50% (1.93g), my CPU usage is at 90%.

Running both programs as admin and have a ping of 20 on vent...

It has to pull resources from WoW and tell it to use Vent.

Try reducing the WoW process priorty, increasing the vent process priotiry or lowering WoW settings.

I'd recommend NOT messing with Process priorities for this, it may mess up other things. I'd go with lower your WoW settings, as more than likely it's because of using so much CPU and resources thats causing it to lag on keypress.
