1. just make a TFT map,

2. DONT DELETE THEM!!!! There's a tutorial about converting TFT maps to RoC maps.

3. Actually.... i really dont know. but its in the forum rules. I think its called "spamming"??
BTW you can use it like in this format instead of double posting..

why does my map save as TFT form when i dont have TFT installed???
and i cant save as RoC

Not sure if you already got this answered or not. I was too lazy to read.
Anyway, this happened to me too, once. Some new update had just been released, and it allowed me to use TFT-only Doodads in the map.
Of course I put a bunch of them here and there, and when I was going to save I had no idea what was going on.
I believe it's some Environment Doodads, like shrubs and cattails and stuff.

Lastly, buy TFT, it will make mapping so much easier. :thup:

That changes nothing..
If you're using TFT-only Doodads, Units, Triggers, or whatever.. -You can't save as .w3m.
Either remove the TFT-Only stuff from your map, or make the map for TFT, or don't make the map at all.

It says expansion is not required in the Map Description so I dunno what you're on about.

EDIT: you need to do something in the map before it changes try place an unit and look
