2 OS' on Same HD?

Ok Well I have Windows XP as my main OS. My Aunt Has a Copy of Windows Vista that she said I can have. How can I partion my HD to use both OS' on it?

Why do you want to use vista, vista is just an atempt to make a little more money before releaseing there real new OS.

Any ways to answer your question, if you don't want to completly restore the xp system then you will need to get some partition software such as norton partion magic. If you are willing to restore xp you can use the disk to create 2 partions on your drive.

In case you don't like this one, search for: dual boot xp vista

Only steps 4 and 5 may be necessary if you have enough disk space.

vista runs just fine . well if use it for gaming .

oh and if u got the machine to run it ofcourse

beside gaming use linux

no expierence with linux ? and don't wanna mess up the pc
