I saw one of the africans who claimed that they are a rhythmic people, and therefore love to play the instrument during the games. I don't know exactly what defines a rhythm, but I'm pretty damn sure it's not a tone held for 1½ hours+

Looks like France is going out. They're losing 2-0 to South Africa at half-time. As far as I'm concerned, they deserve it after they cheated to knock Ireland out in the qualifiers.

England won their game, and USA (unfortunately) one theirs. So England go through as runner-ups in the group. It's good to see England playing as they once did again.

At long last, England appear to have realised they need to play properly to win. The last 20 minutes were pretty tense. I also feel kind of sorry for Slovenia, they were the most consistently good of the entire group and they still went out.

Soccer will never be as big as Football (not Fútball/ol), Basketball, or Hockey in America.

• 1. It is viewed (incorrectly) as a 'poor' sport by Americans.

Really its also a mix of Isolationism and that Soccer compared to those other sports you mention is too simple. Most people say they find it boring because its too simple and their is no complexity to the game.

Nevertheless. USA wins over Algeria at the last minute. :thup:
