Anway to stop unit HP regeneration?

Im working on a spell that encases target in ice, pausing it, but making it invulnerable for a time.
Is there any way to pause the target unit's mana and HP regeneration? I can't seem to find any trigger to do so........

Save it's current hp and mana as a real variable at the start of the trigger, and then either:
1. Reset them when the spell ends
2. Run a periodic trigger contantly reseting them until spell ends

Option 2 is neater, but it's up to you.

What about checking the unit's life/mana when the ability is casted, and then store them in variable. Then, use a periodic trigger to repeatingly set the target's life to that particular value. Not sure how to make it MUI though.

Doesn't Unit -- Pause Unit stop regeneration?

That or add abilities giving negative regeneration, play around with the numbers until you find the correct one (I would start with -100%, then -200%, etc)

Sorry man but this wont work, the unit's regen can change depending on his level, his stats, his abilitys, and his items, it would be impossible to find 1 value to nulify them all and if some how you knew you would need that same ability around 1,000 times.

There is no way to stop unit HP regen without setting it to a constant value at a very quick interval.
