Well, not because you Just find it boring, but because there's Just nothing good anymore.

So, how do you feel about the current and future of gaming?

The most recent game i have played is wings of liberty.
The next most recent game i played was tes 4 oblivion.
So, i think i could say i grew pretty tired of the games nowadays.
Oblivion was a huge disappointment for me, black and white 2 also was a huge disappointment. After those two games i have spent valueable money on and got disappointed i pretty much decided to never buy a game anymore.
I support the indy scene though, i try to make my own games, i am thinking alot about game balance and how a game should be like, but i really dont play games that much anymore.

I suppose games are getting a bit repetitive for me now, but that's expected. I mean, after playing so many, there's not much more you can find that is new.
I remember as kids, we could play so many games and find all of them fun and exciting, and spend hours on them. Now, I rarely play a game for more than like 20 hours gametime.

Indy games are fun though they are short. Maybe that's why I like them though, I finish through their novelty quickly before they get boring and repetitive like mainstream games.

Swim, fishies. Swim through the veil of steel.
This brings to mind the games I played when I was half my age. Games like Lightspeed and Paradoxion, which few people knew about but provided me with hours of entertainment. I only mention those because I've been replaying them, but there were tons of others.

Because I find it likeable. If it was a Facebook status I would unlike it just to like it again.

I intend to allow myself to say "I DISLIKE this game"

I agree with you FireCat; I've recently figured out that gaming is a waste of time that could be spent doing much more productive things. However, when I do game, I rely on old classics that I've always loved like Warcraft 3, Starcraft, Startopia (look it up, epic game), Age of Empire, Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds, the list goes on.

There are a few games I try nowadays, but modern games run slow on my laptop and I tend to be a bit anti-mainstream. Also, practically half of all the games made recently are based on/have game mechanics from CoD :/. I LOVE Starcraft 2, and I can't stop playing Minecraft :D I love all the Lego games as well, they're funny and stress-free games.

So what's the whole reforged situation? Do we have to run the classic version bootleg now?
  • C Cherry.Grove:
My boyfriend is super into Bethesda modding so I'm probably going to join him in that for a bit, then move on to making mobile/browser games.
  • C Cherry.Grove:
I mostly just want to look at my old projects because I know I posted uploads on here somewhere.
  • C Cherry.Grove:
My one game was basically Among Us but you sabotaged an entire medieval city simulated drastically inefficiently with dynamic NPCs :S
  • C Cherry.Grove:
of course I never finished it x D

    xD
  • jonas jonas:
I think you can still run the original game, just there's a chance your map won't work with the newer patches
  • jonas jonas:
what development framework have you been looking at for mobile development?
  • jonas jonas:
I'm currently creating (as a hobby) a space invaders like game for mobile using Xamarin, after starting a few larger projects that I also may not have finished :p

mostly failing at life through adulthood really demotivated me for a while
  • C Cherry.Grove:
....what I don't get is why the fuck they would force us to permanently convert to a version of the game everyone fucking hated : \
  • C Cherry.Grove:
Raid Shadow Legends texture pack smh
  • jonas jonas:
Most people fail at life throughout their adulthood. Sometimes we get to learn from it. Usually it just feels like crap.
