"Berserker"-Upgrade doesn't remove unit

I made an upgrade/ability based on the Orcs' "Berserker" upgrade/ability.

The existing units do, indeed, turn into the new one.
The construction button for the new unit does become available.

However, the button for the "old" unit does not disappear! :(
Of course, if you build an old unit, it will instantly turn into the new one upon completion,
but I would really like the button to simply disappear.

The upgrade does have the "make unavailable"...


Any ideas what I might be missing?

Hello. ^_^

You could try to close your eyes and say ten times: "There is no button."

Works sometimes...

I am not sure if I will be of any help, but I wanted to do a similar upgrade for a project I am currently working on (slowly but surely). I am planning this upgrade for both my human and orc races.

Anyway, I manage to get my upgrade working. I can upgrade it and my units do change from the old to the new, and the old icon button at my Barracks is replaced with the new one. The problem I have is that the old AND new icons are shown at my barracks BEFORE I use the upgrade and all the other units' buttons are displaced. Once the upgrade is complete, everything shuffles around to the way it is supposed to look.

One note about the Berserker Upgrade is that it is an ability and upgrade, and needs to be tagged onto the old unit.

A very strange bug, I have had a few, such as disappearing buffs. you could try remaking it, else i don't know, since there isn't anything else you can base it off, You could check Azure Tower Defence (I think) and see how blizzard did it there. But you probably already know that being the "1337" person you are.

No i don't read dates, lol maybe he still needs it fixing (i doubt it :rolleyes: )

Quite so, but unless the issue was not solved elsewhere, I will assume it's a continued problem.

Anyway, both new and old unit are supposed to occupy the same X,Y co-ordinate, but the new unit shows up and is ready to use before the upgrade has happened, and is messes up the rest of the buttons on my barracks. Once the upgrade is completed, the old unit disappears, and the buttons are reset to the correct placements.

Well, the "fix" is to, simply, disable the new units at map init.
The upgrade takes care of the rest.

Solved approximately two years ago... :nuts:

I set it to unavailable and everything works fine now. Thanks.
