Bungie Partners With Activision
10 year exclusive deal announced.

UK, April 29, 2010 - Bungie has just announced a deal with Activision Blizzard, spanning some ten years, that will see the publishing giant releasing the Halo developer's next big franchise.

Bungie President Harold Ryan explained the announcement, saying "We chose to partner with Activision on our next IP because of their global reach, multi-platform experience and marketing expertise, From working together over the past nine months on this agreement, it is clear that Activision supports our commitment to giving our fans the best possible gaming experiences."

Bye bye Bungie. By end of the contract Bungie will be no more is my best bet. It seems Activision milks companies for all they can and run them into the ground

Only interested in this because maybe.. JUST maybe Halo will go over to PS3 as well Aah we can only dream.
Doubt this would be before the next gen console because isn't Halo Reach the last Halo for at least the 360?

They announced that this was most likely gonna be their last Halo since they don't want to continue a good series. It would be like continuing the Lost show series ... just stop it while it's good, OK?

As for their contract with Activision, it's so that Bungie can create multiplatform games through them. Bungie is NOT owned by Activision and reserves their own rights to produce whatever the heck they want. By the sounds of the contract, it sounds like Bungie is USING Activision, and Activision gets a bit of cash out of it, that's all.
