Campaign attachment size

I went to post a friend's campaign onto the site. It's only 2,815kb, well below even Bnet's 4mb limit! However, I got a message saying something like
Files of this type are limited to 500 kb. Your file is over that limit at 2,815kb.

Campaigns are multiple maps, and some maps (like AWA, I'm sure) are probably this size!

Is this 500 kb limit a vB software default? Or is there a reason I'm not seeing behind this?

No that is a setting we set.

For larger maps of the such, you will be able to use the map server.

"Map server"? You mean the map page on the tutorial site?

Soon we are launching a new map server. Anyone with a forum account can submit a map.

You upload your map and preview image to the tutorial site.

The script runs of MySQL. Your map is stored on the tutorials site directory. Your preview image is automatically resized and saved in JPG format on the site.

You can then later edit and update your submission.

In the near futre, the comment feature will be done to.

Its okay to upload other works. So long as your first line or so is the real author.

Maps taking credit for themselves most likely won't get approved.

The approval team is myself, Ace, and 56K. For now.

Lol, the only reason I wanted to upload it in the first place was because
A) the person still needed help, and was going to bed
B) I have more attachment space then he does, and I'm not using most of it.

But nevermind, now
