i dont think there is a direct method to detect this..
- solutions i know of
- trigger the projectile itself and damage on collision
- order a dummy to fire the projectile at position of caster when spell effect fire, attach the caster data (eg using hashtable) to the dummy and detect when it deals 0.0 damage, unit type of damage source equal to 'dummy' using a Damage Detection System then do your stuff from that.
- add spell shield then detect when casted (not recommended/tested/as accurate as the other 2)
i just thought of this don't know how it will work but if it works it would be easier
when the casts starts find the distance between both the units then according to the projectile speed set a trigger which adds a "wait" the the effect
eg. if projectile speed is 600 and distance is 1200 then projectile will take 2sec to reach so 1200/600 so add a 2secs wait after which the trigger takes place. if u test this u would know more but i think it will work
I'm on a page about incorrect corrections, and spent the better part of like two hours trying to get someone to understand that -5^2 = -25, not 25, and then that post had comments get reposted because that group is self sustaining, and that person was in turn trying to explain what I just explained to them. And I'm taking that as a victory
I will be AFK for a couple of days you guys hold down the fort while I am gone. I will be checking in on my phone but that will severly limit me. Be back saturday!
