Combat type switch!

I want to make ability like Troll Warlord in Dota which allows to switch between ranged and melee combat type.

My unit will be melee unit but i want him to make ability that allows him to become ranged for 30 sec. If this ability requies triggering just GUI..

No triggering needed, just use one of the transformation abilities, like Chemical Rage.
