i read this and this and i was just wondering if there is a way to convert vjass to jass inside of newgen, not like the complicated way (at least for me ) in the 2 threads and also the 'missing arguments:<commonj><blizzardj><mappath>' error i get when i click jasshelper/.
i tried typing an obvious syntax error but that doesnt seem to always work.
also i just found the war3map.j my the newgen folder
- it shows half of the converted code (?)
- can i manually add globals in this?
- jasscraft(currently using it) views this correctly? does it show what MPQ editor shows (havent tried/used MPQ editor)?
one last thing-
ToolTipError:
//! import "yourfile.j"??
need elaboration/explanation: import a file, then view the converted vjass in the war3map.j?? no? (doesnt convert for me)
thanks
??D:
cd wc3\jassnewgenpack5d\jasshelper\
jasshelper.exe --scriptonly <common.j> <blizzard.j> <\..\..\maps\download\custom\fctf\Unit.vj> <\..\..\maps\download\custom\fctf\Unit.j>

>//! import "yourfile.txt"You can use JassHelper. But globals aren't converted and you have to add it to the war3map.j file manually, so it's not really worth it. Your best bet is adding all your code to a text file, placing it in your JassHelper directory, and putting //! import "yourfile.txt" in your map (this works for Macs and PC and Linux)
//! import "yourfile.j"??
