Conveying abilities and their levels to another unit

Hi all,

Only the first ability 'acid blast' works, the other two do not. Here are my trigs:

If (All Conditions are True) then do (Then Actions) else do (Else Actions)
    If - Conditions
        (Unit-type of CLASSUP_TempHero) Equal to Venom Warden (Second)
    Then - Actions
        Unit - Create 1 Bane (Third) for (Owner of CLASSUP_TempHero) at CLASSUP_HeroTempPoint facing Default building facing degrees
        Set CLASSUP_AbilityLevel1 = (Level of RGDMGC Acid Blast  for CLASSUP_TempHero)
        Hero - Learn skill for (Last created unit): RGDMGC Acid Blast
        Unit - Set level of RGDMGC Acid Blast  for (Last created unit) to CLASSUP_AbilityLevel1
        Set CLASSUP_AbilityLevel2 = (Level of RGDMGC Toxic Ingestion  for CLASSUP_TempHero)
        Hero - Learn skill for (Last created unit): RGDMGC Toxic Ingestion
        Unit - Set level of RGDMGC Toxic Ingestion  for (Last created unit) to CLASSUP_AbilityLevel1
        Set CLASSUP_AbilityLevel3 = (Level of RGDMGC Summon Ectoplasmic Entity  for CLASSUP_TempHero)
        Hero - Learn skill for (Last created unit): RGDMGC Summon Ectoplasmic Entity
        Unit - Set level of RGDMGC Summon Ectoplasmic Entity  for (Last created unit) to CLASSUP_AbilityLevel1

Any clues.. I'm totally stumped.

Did you base those abilities all off of the same default ability?

HMm good point.. channel yes. Except one of them which is based on summon water elemental. That spell also doesn't get learnt/set to level. So not sure that answers it.

Update: For whatever reason, transferring ability levels only works satisfactorily when using the 'Unit - Replace' trigger or it's equivalent..
