Custom Spells and Abilitys.

Is is possible to make a animation of a SFX and import it into WorldEdit and use it as a spell. like if wanted to make a Animation of a "Purple Fire Ball" as a spell. would i be able to use it as a spell in Warcaft Game.

what i thanik is that basicly all the spell and SFX are just little animation. when the spell targets some thing the code that used to make the game tells the unit to lose x.x life. if it missed than lose 0 life.

so know any tutorails of how to?

you can do that
use it as a spell.
do you mean use this as a SFX of a spell? >> yea you can
just change Art – Effect, Missile, Special, Target, Attachments etc of spell

ok good to know. now what are the necessary extension i need. and how would i be able to change the Interface icon of the spell.

is importing a custom animation like importing a custom model?
cause i know a tutorial of how to import a custom model.

i mean use the SFX animation as the spell. (not of)
....

so if a hero or a unit is a spell caster. for example the spell Firebolt that a Orc Warlock can use. it has a icon of and when you click the icon and target the a unit with it a firebolt animates and does damge to the unit.

somthing like that but custom.

ye.. you usually dont need to changed path names for most models
icons work the same way >> import, but you need to change the path
