HOUSTON -- There is real hope that what’s happening in a Houston lab might lead to a cure for HIV.

“We have found an innovative way to kill the virus by finding this small region of HIV that is unchangeable,” Dr. Sudhir Paul of the University of Texas Medical School at Houston said.

I do hope this works and has no repercussions. Why wouldn't I? Let's just hope that it becomes cost efficient and it actually does save the world instead of putting money in the pockets of the rich.

There's about a lot of people in Africa where HIV is common in most places. If there's a cure for HIV, then I support that, and Africans will be cured of it.

It's true, though, and I don't think it's racist. A certain large percentage of Africans do have HIV. Much more than America or Canada or any European country.

For a few years, the cure will only be available to rich customers anyway.
