editor crashes

Can anyone tell me y the world editor always causes an illegal operation and crashes on my computer? I have taken it bak and got a new one, downloaded all the patches, and my computer is the right specs. Is there anypatch or anything.

You need to give me more info.

- which version of windows
- cpu speed
- vid card and ram
- sound card
- cd rom drive

and anything else you feel might help me out.

Make sure you have all the latest patches for windows.

Right now, I'm thinking the possible causes are either windows or that your cd-rom drive can't read the editor files properly and it's crashing. And yes, I have heard of situations where your drive is fine when playing the game, but the drive stuffs up when running the editor.
