I've understood Azlier's one, but J4L, is complicated because I'm still learning method and thistype.

I also know what fire means, I'll try to build my own and edit this post when I'm done.. :)

Edit: :)

JASS:

// Based off Azlier's one.

library Hotkeys initializer Init

    globals
        private Event ev
    endglobals

    private function Hook takes string s returns nothing
        call FireEvent(ev)
    endfunction

    hook ForceUIKey Hook

    function TriggerRegisterUIKeyCalled takes trigger t returns nothing
        call TriggerRegisterEvent(t,ev)
    endfunction

    private function Init takes nothing returns nothing
        set ev = CreateEvent()
    endfunction

endlibrary

With the trigger above, I added those triggers ->

JASS:

function Trig_Test_Actions takes nothing returns boolean
    call BJDebugMsg("Yay!")
    return false
endfunction

//===========================================================================
function InitTrig_Test takes nothing returns nothing
    local trigger t = CreateTrigger()
    call TriggerRegisterUIKeyCalled(t)
    call TriggerAddCondition(t, Condition(function Trig_Test_Actions))
endfunction

JASS:

function Trig_Test_2_Actions takes nothing returns nothing
    call ForceUIKey("c")
endfunction

//===========================================================================
function InitTrig_Test_2 takes nothing returns nothing
    set gg_trg_Test_2 = CreateTrigger(  )
    call TriggerRegisterTimerEventSingle( gg_trg_Test_2, 8.00 )
    call TriggerAddAction( gg_trg_Test_2, function Trig_Test_2_Actions )
endfunction

It displayed "Yay!" :)

It also casted thunder clap :D

Are you gonna marry me? <3

Of course, that won't fire when the player presses that button, it fires when a trigger forces the player to press that button. You realize this?

Yes, I do. It's already good

Now I'll make AnyUnitDamaged | etc...

Only if it's the Escape key, or one of the arrow keys (and possibly the spacebar key). The only way you'd be able to check when a player pressed a key would be to have a unit with abilities and those keys as hotkeys. However, this would require constant selection of that unit.

A peculiar proposal.

I'mm gonna have to decide on "no", though. This is just all too rushed for me! I only said your shoes were pretty...

If you do an "any unit damaged" event, you should do it with AIDS. Truth be told, AIDS originally came out of needing support for an any unit damaged event. It is without a doubt the easiest way to do it.

I don't think those functions are necessary. For example, I think this:

JASS:
local Event e = Event.create()

is much better than:

JASS:
local Event e = CreateEvent()

And that goes for the rest of the functions. It's better to make the struct act like one, it's easier to use, since other people do that in their systems.

Note to self:
Test later.
JASS:
        method unregister takes trigger t returns EventReg
            local Event curr
            // this = last.
            loop
                set curr=this.next
                exitwhen curr==0
                if curr.trig==t then
                    set .current.trig=null
                    set this.next=curr.next
                    call curr.destroy()
                    return curr
                endif
            endloop
            return 0
        endmethod

Good thing. :thup:

>Hm. Do you particularly need it or something?
I have this unregister thingy(I wrote myself) in my map. xD
If this unregister function is included, TrigWrap(another version) can be useful for trigger recycling.

Since now we can unregister an event to a trigger i use it.
And i've a simple request.

Could you provide the instance of the Event occured plz, basically just a global Event which is equal to curr inside the method fire plz ?
And we could know it with Event.getTriggering() or such.

2 set of a global variable is kinda irrelevant and it will be definitely useful, if you want use several custom Events on a same trigger.

Do you mean equal to "this" in fire?
Because Event.getTriggering() is exactly that, otherwise.

I mean which Event is currently running.
I don't use EventReg.

I will take a better look later.
