Heya.

Decided to buy a new screen to my laptop, cause of the small screen. Dad told my cant just buy a new screen, need to check how high resolution my graphics card can handle.
Would love to know how to google this, or if I could get a direct answer.

Thanks guys :)

pretty much any graphics card will be able to push 2560 x 1600 - which means you can get any screen you want, but it won't be able to do that while playing games/etc. without being really slow - but that is why games have their own settings, and you can lower the resolution for the game

if you want a better answer then "pretty much any", you will need to post your laptop and/or graphics card

a more important issue would be what kind of output does your laptop have (VGA, DVI, hdmi?), but most monitors will have all of those as well

As long as your laptop has the right output, you should be fine.

I often just plug my laptop into my TV screen (through HDMI) and that works perfectly.
