Fire direction of unit

hi guys,

I gave a broodlord the spore crawler acid weapon and I recieved the error: 'can't turn toward target'. I solved this by adding the spore crawler 'turret'. My problem now is that the broodlord only looks straight when it fires. For example I want the broodlord looking to the left when it fires to the left, and if a unit appears at the right, the broodlord must turn to the right and fire. Can somebody help me with this?

Turrets are designed to rotate independently of the unit so assigning a turret is not the correct solution for you. It sounds like you may have changed another property on the unit which is preventing the unit from turning to face its target. Have you made any other modifications to Movement properties on the unit? You may also want to make sure the unit flag Turnable is checked.

does it have the move ability? is it considered a building?

Yes, the broodlord is turnable. I gave the banshee the viking torpedo's for shooting air targets. The banshee is following the enemy while waiting for cooldown, so for the banshee it works fine. The broodlord looks down if enemy is on the left. The spore crawler attack will shoot from the broodlord but it just isnt facing the enemy sigh...

what is the unit based off of? because the broodlord had a unique ability that enabled it's attack, the broodling attack ability, shooting little monsters at its enemies... does it still have this ability and could that have been affecting the rotation of the unit?

Found it out! I removed the little monster ability which disabled also the turnable of the broodlord. Because I removed the little monsters there is no model for it to turn then.
