Goldman Sachs is on course to pay its top City bankers multimillion-pound bonuses - despite asking the U.S. government for an emergency bail-out.

The struggling Wall Street bank has set aside £7billion for salaries and 2008 year-end bonuses, it emerged yesterday.

Each of the firm's 443 partners is on course to pocket an average Christmas bonus of more than £3million.

The size of the pay pool comfortably dwarfs the £6.1billion lifeline which the U.S. government is throwing to Goldman as part of its £430billion bail-out.

Those dirty F*ckers. It figures. The US government is so freaking stupid and corrupted handing the banks that money. Just like the US Government LOST those billions in CASH in Iraq. What a joke. No US SOURCES ARE REPORTING THIS. The news is totally bought off.

You're right - they are. If you weren't so corrupted by the media you would be amazed at all the progress we've made in Iraq so far. Just ask any soldier who's been there.

Us being in Iraq and Afghanistan is a front for allowing us access to the oil, drugs, and a base for CIA operations to fund and stage ops against the countries in that region. imho.

What does that have to do with the compensation being paid out that is more than the bailout they received on Golden Parachute Sachs?
