my experience with unit groups makes me very wary of EnumItemsInRectBJ
but I do not know if there is such a thing as an item group to set it to so I can clean up the potential leak.
    1) do item groups exist?
    2) how do I use them to avoid a leak with this function?

I do not recall there being item groups (but I may be mistaken, it has been years...). As far as I know there are no leaks with that method.

You should almost never use BJ's as a lot of them leak and all of them are inneficient
Each is a wrapper for other functions and none of them does anything so complex that it's worth all that

well, unithasitemoftypebj is pretty convenient, but besides that I rarely use them when writing jass, though I sometimes replace/sometimes leave wehn converting from GUI triggers
