Making a unit uncontrollable

Hello,

I want to make my units uncontrollable, but the players must still have the ability to upgrade the unit to next level

Does anyone know how I can do this?

I just want to know, is this for a tower defense, so that you cant target units with your tower?

It might be easier to disable manuel aiming for your weapon in that case.

You can remove all the buttons in the command card of the unit except the upgrade ones so the player cannot give orders to the unit with the ccard.

by the way the player is still able to give move or attack commands by righclicking so, in order to prevent that you have to disable the smartclicks via trigger. The action is under "interface" and is "enable/disable type of command". So you have to disable smartclick for the player that you need.

Sry but i dont understand what do you mean with "uncontrollable but upgrade"...

I mean that you cannot control the units but you CAN press the ability to upgrade them


(perhaps make the attack-patrol buttons in the command card page 2?)

Phubar's solution will do this. Just because the unit doesn't have a button on their command card doesn't mean the unit can't use the ability. It will just mean that the player can't click on the button in the command card to use it. So just delete every button on the units command card except for your upgrade button and disable smart clicks with a trigger.
