Map corruption due to Power failure

I was working on a map, power went out, restarted, tried opening, and it says Main Map file cant be opened.

HOWEVER, I tried opening the TestMap, which is very close to the point where i messed up, it says the same thing. Which makes me think that it might not be the map that got corrupted. Any help?

Well Test Map, is just a copy of your map pretty much, so if it got corrupted then you tested it, it copied the corrupted map to your test map folder (I think). Can you open any other map but the one you were working on? If not it has somthing to do with WE and not your map.

mmm the power failure happened after i tested not while i was saving or anything. And yes I can open other maps.

that;s strange.. corruption usually happens when saving is interrupted..

well if everything is corrupted, you could try using something like MPQMaster or RMPQEx to extract the war3map.j and unit data, its better than starting over
