If a unit "misses" on an attacked due to curse, evasion or height different, does the attacked unit still take damage, just the damage is set to 0?

I vaguely remember seeing some gameplay constant with the % damage that is done on "miss"...
(Might be for higher ground though)

Either way, the unit should still be attacking. Just with less to no damage.

to know if it deals 0 damage

create a unit with 100% evasion
and let a unit attack...then create a trigger

E: EvasionUnit0001 takes damage
C:
A: Unit cause triggering unit to damage triggering unit by 500 using attack type spells damage type normal

if the trigger damages the unit with the evasion then it means it damages the unit by 0

i think this will work

Less or no damage = Applies to AoE-Types. 0.50 as default (50% damage dealt if it misses).
Higher/Lower Ground = Applies to ranged attacks (% to miss). 0.25 as default (25% to miss).

Note : A cursed unit (50% miss) on a lower ground has 62.5% chance of missing an attack.

I know there is a constant for damage penalty on miss too. [for AoE]

Miss is miss. The damage event won't fire except if it is an AoE attack type.
