Non Hero Units Using Items

Quick question, and I know this is probably simple, but I'm sick as a dog, and can't think well.

How do I make it so non-hero units can use items? If you give the "Unit Inventory - Race Name" they cant use the items, they can hold the item, but not use it. Do I have to give them the hero inventory ability?

Alternatively, have a look at the inventory ability.
For example at "can use items"...

I knew it was completely obvious... thanks. Im completely out of it today, I cant believe Im sick in the middle of summer.
